Preparation: Choose Pasta of Pelafino

CHOOSE PASTA

Pelafino pasta is carefully made for different occasions. The shape of the Pelafino products is obtained by selecting several types. Different recipes require different thickness and shape of pasta, which Pelafino products have. Hollow forms of pasta are chosen for dishes that need to be oven-baked. Round pasta (macaroni) and pasta with a ribbed surface are used for sauce dressing dishes. Thin pasta is used for dishes served with spicy hot sauce.

COOKING PASTA

The pasta is boiled in a large amount of water. 100 grams of pasta requires 1 liter of water. In boiled water add 1 tablespoon or 8 to 10 grams of salt. The cooking time depends on the type of pasta being boiled and is different for each type of pasta. Dried pasta made from durum wheat is always boiled and served “al dante”. The expression “al dante” is Italian and means perfectly cooked pasta. “Al dante” cooked pasta should be firmly under the teeth to be bitten. Before the end of cooking, try the pasta and decide according to your taste when it has enough cooking.

HOW THEY ARE SERVED

Cooked pasta can be served in a deep and shallow dish. An ideal choice is a large shallow plate. If the cooked pasta is to be served with grated cheese or Parmesan, it is recommended that the cheese or Parmesan be grated immediately before serving, place in small deep bowls with a spoon, so that everyone can serve it on their own. Pasta is traditionally eaten with a fork. If boiled spaghetti with topping is eaten, it is also eaten with a fork only in smaller quantities.

Special side dishes and spices are used to prepare durum wheat pasta. Some side dishes and spices are available all year round, and some side dishes should be used dry and canned.
